Supervisor of the Year

Susan Boggs has been a DFCS Supervisor for Pike County since 2001.  Susan brings a high degree of professionalism to the cases under her supervision, including the most difficult and emotionally charged cases.  She is always available to staff cases with her case managers and guide them, while never expecting more from then than she is prepared to give of herself.  She gathers all facts and information so as not to make judgments too quickly.  She is a person of the highest integrity who does what she says and says what she means.  When working with those outside the Department, Susan is a true team player and fosters relationships with stakeholders that are characterized by trust, openness, and information sharing.  She represents the very best of DFCS and is a good role model and inspiration to all who work with her.

Susan lives in Pike County with her husband and three daughters.  She received her BS degree from LaGrange College in 1986.  She has worked with DFCS since 1988 as a Program Administrator for the Independent Living Program in Fayette County, a Resource Development and Adoption Unit Supervisor in Clayton County, and a Resource Development Case Manager in Upson County.  She also served as Director of the DJJ Griffin Regional Youth Detention Center in Spalding County.
