Recognizing Individuals for Outstanding Work with
Children
It’s that time of year again to nominate your outstanding colleagues
to be recognized for their hard work and contributions to the foster care
and juvenile justice systems in Georgia. We are interested in honoring
individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to collaboration with other
agencies and programs to better serve children and families. All awards
will be presented at the 7th Annual Child Placement Conference at the
August Marriott Hotel and Suites in Augusta. Below please find a brief
explanation on the categories of awards:
Leadership Award – An individual, in the public of the
private sector, who has demonstrated outstanding
vision for change and leadership over the past year in advocating for
children and families served by the Georgia foster care and juvenile
justice systems.
Friend of Children Award – An individual who has made a significant
commitment to making a difference for children in foster care and
juvenile justice placements.
Case Manager of the Year – A case
manager that has made outstanding contributions over the past year.
Supervisor of the Year – A
supervisor that has made outstanding contributions over the past year.
Juvenile Court Attorney of the Year - A child welfare law attorney,
including a SAAG, juvenile defender, child or parent attorney, who has
demonstrated outstanding commitment to children and families.
Volunteer of the Year – A volunteer in the foster care or juvenile
justice systems who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to children
and families.

colleagues that you believe deserve one of these awards. The deadline for
nominations is Monday,
