The
following questions pertain to the implementation of new wrap-around services
under the First Placement, Best Placement Program:
1.
Does the county have to
complete an MOU with the providers?
YES – as stated in the policy transmittal 01-09,
page 12.
“Memorandums of
Understanding are developed with community service providers in the usual
manner.”
2.
What providers are allowed
in the state to complete FP/BP assessments (UAS 511)?
Only the providers listed on the web at www.gahsc.org are approved to complete FP/BP
assessments.
3.
What providers can be used
to provide wrap-around services (UAS 518)?
Fist Placement/Best Placement Assessment Providers
are the only providers that may be used to provide these services. The list of the FP/BP Providers may be found
on the web at www.gahsc.org.
4.
Can wrap around services
money (UAS 518) be used to pay for counseling of the foster parent?
YES – It may be used for In–Home Intensive Treatment according to
manual transmittal 01-09, page 12.
5.
Can wrap around services
money (UAS 518) be used to pay for counseling of the parent who has a child in
foster care?
YES – It may be used for In–Home Intensive Treatment
according to manual transmittal 01-09, page 12.
6.
Can wrap around services
money (UAS 518) be used to pay for counseling of a parent and/or child when the
child is in after care?
YES – It may be used for In–Home Intensive Treatment
according to manual transmittal 01-09, page 12.
7.
Is there an invoice for
these services?
The state office is making final changes to the invoice and it will be
send to each county and provider by the end of January 2002.
