Seeking Employment - Hello, I am seeking a position at your agency. My passion is helping teens bounce back from adverse situations so they can have successful, healthy, and happy futures. I am new to the area but my previous employment with child welfare agencies in the State of New York has allowed me to gain great experience working with court appointed teen girls. I supervised, provided crisis management, and planned recreational activities. I instituted a life skills instruction program and mentored youth participating in a statewide youth leadership team that worked with the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) to improve the foster care system. I later became a statewide trainer contracted through OCFS where I taught/coached staff and foster parents to work with their teens in care/custody. Trainings consisted of how to teach life skills to youth, empower youth to bounce back from adversity, deal with bullying, and many more. I also facilitated a regional youth leadership team which funneled up to the statewide team. Here I helped youth explore future college aspirations and careers, develop their leadership skills, and teach them to advocate for themselves and the younger generation of youth in foster care. I am a hard worker who is dedicated, efficient, good spirited, and a team player. I can hit the ground running and would require little training on basic skills at your agency. I would make a great addition to your team. Please contact Erin Bednarczyk (erinfran02@yahoo.com ) for my full resume. References available upon request. I look forward to hearing from you.
