Daily Update February 3, 2016 - Triad official position on Family First Act

This week, the Triad will take a public position in support getting the Family First Act to a Senate Finance Committee Markup. The Alliance and NOSAC invite you to join a teleconference, geared toward nonprofit human service providers, where we'll articulate the Triad's position and offer a Q&A on The Family First Act. The call will take place this coming Thursday, February 4th at 1:30 p.m. EST.

We are accepting questions in advance in an effort to address as many issues as possible in the time allotted, but please feel free to send questions during the call and we will do our best to provide a response.
Speakers will include: 
  • Susan Dreyfus, President and CEO, Alliance for Strong Families and Communities
  • Megann Anderson, President, National Organization of State Associations for Children (NOSAC)
  • Tracey Wareing Evans, Executive Director, American Public Human Services Association
  • Other network representatives
  • Marlo Nash, Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Mobilization, Alliance, moderator
During the call we will:
  • Articulate the Triad's current position
  • Share our understanding of what's at stake
  • Answer questions about the Family First Act, Senate procedure, timeline, etc.
  • Review upcoming action steps, including fully activating the Triad's campaign
