RE: Child Welfare Organizational Changes Within the State Office
I would like to announce recent personnel changes within the State Office which are effective May 9, 2016. These changes are a part of the organization’s ongoing process to ensure that the Division is structured and staffed in a way that allows us to optimally execute against the agency’s strategic plan and the Blueprint for Change reform efforts.
Angela Coulon will be joining the Field Operations Section under the leadership of Jeff Lukich and Angela Mock will be joining the Knowledge Management Section under the leadership of Lee Biggar. Angela Coulon will now serve as a Field Program Specialist for Region 14, and Angela Mock will be a Trainer within Knowledge Management Section’s Education and Training Unit. Additionally, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) will be moved to Field Operations.
Both of these individuals possess a wealth of child welfare knowledge and will be valuable additions to their new units. Their skills and talents will help the Division in advancing the Blueprint for Change and in reaching our goal of becoming the best child and family services organization in the world.
Dianne Kelley has resigned effective May 18. I am grateful for her excellent work in improving our child welfare system, and especially the leadership she has provided to the Permanency Section during the last three years. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
Revised organizational charts will be forthcoming and we will begin recruitment to fill these important leadership positions right away. In the interim please contact Colleen Mousinho -- Director of Practice and Program Guidance -- at Colleen.Mousinho@dhs.ga.gov with questions or concerns.
Many thanks to each of you for your continued support of DFCS as we continue to make improvements ultimately designed to improve services to the families and children of the State of Georgia.
