Partnershipping and all the meaning associated with it will be the continued focal point for this year’s exciting executive retreat. Together Georgia continues to pursue improving working relationships as we strengthen our partnerships. The two days will be full of opportunities for you and your senior staff to engage in meaningful conversations with leaders in our state and nation.Your Executive Retreat is designed to create a positive atmosphere where thought leaders in a relaxed setting can engage in meaningful and productive dialogue with our members in an effort to improve collaboration and practices for those we collectively serve.

HB 962: Kinship Care Enforcement Administrator 

Our goal is to create a Georgia Kinship Care Enforcement Administrator position within the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) to make sure grandparents and other caregivers are treated fairly.

What does this mean?

​HB 962 has some updated language and will now be sent back to the House floor for an agree/disagree vote.​ The representatives will work on getting the final version of the bill passed.

Our goal is to simply require public notification of the ability to waive probate court fees (Pauper’s Affidavit) when a caregiver is applying for guardianship.

Separate Access to Services Portal
Our goal is to require the construction of a separate website access point specifically for grandparents and other kinship caregivers. This new website will create a benefit application system that is easier to use.
