Provider Watch - December 6, 2009 In-Home Services Standards Setting Work Group and SafeCareŽ Services Reimbursement for Family Preservation Providers

The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) issued a memo to Family Preservation Providers  that provides information about an In-Home Services Standards Setting Work Group and SafeCareŽ reimbursement. The Home Based Services Unit within the DFCS Office of Provider Utilization and Outcomes Management along with a cross section of community-based Family Preservation Providers from across the State formed a work group to assess, analyze and set standards for home based services. Through the efforts of this workgroup, DFCS plans to improve family intervention work and develop a consistent statewide frame work to support outcome-focused evidence-based models of home-base preventive services.
