Provider Watch January 8, 2015 - Together Georgia welcomes new member, YAGC

Together Georgia welcomes new member, Young Adult Guidance Center, Inc.

YAGC was founded in 1986 with a primary purpose to provide crisis intervention and emergency shelter for Atlanta’s male runaway and homeless youth. The founding Board of Directors met on January 14, 1984 at the A. D. Williams Recreation Center under the leadership of Mr. Marion L. Simpson.

YAGC has evolved to provide a wide -range of services for underprivileged youth and young adults. Over 12,000 clients have been helped throughout their uninterrupted service history, with many achieving positive outcomes and stability. Through all services and offerings, a holistic, wrap-around approach has been adopted. Their overall goal is to help clients achieve self-sufficiency and reduce their reliance on social welfare. They strive to help young people achieve success and become productive members of society.

Since 1986  YAGC  has provided a safe and learning environment for hundreds of homeless teenaged boys. Over the years the YAGC has received numerous awards, citations, plaques, certificates and other honors, from various civil, community, schools, churches, governments, and private businesses. On December 14, 2014 YAGC celebrated with  friends and allies their 28th anniversary.

Together Georgia is honored to welcome Young Adult Guidance Center, Inc. to our 2015 membership.
