Provider Update June 27, 2016

DOL Revision of Overtime - provider response requested

The Department of Labor sent out a ruling on revised overtime that will go into effect on Dec. 1, 2016.  The new rule will raise the salary threshold indicating eligibility for overtime.   The Wage and Hour Division published on May 18, 2016 the Guidance for Nonprofit Organizations on Paying Overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act

Together Georgia is collecting and compiling information from providers who will be fiscally impacted. The impact analysis will then be used to educate the Office of Planning and Budget and the Legislative Appropriation's members.

Please send us the projections on how this ruling might increase your expenses for calendar year 2017.  Once we get a sizable response we will attempt to determine what the reasonable cost will be for all Georgia providers.

Responses will be collected  via Survey Monkey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KGBBXPN  - your response is appreciated.
