Program Overview:
The training covers the importance of accurate, timely and professional documentation in the field of social work. Participants will learn the fundamentals of professional writing, as it relates to Service Planning, Narrative Reports and Case Note Entries. In addition, issues of confidentiality and privacy will be reviewed in response to HIPAA, state and accreditation regulations. The material provided meets the standards of the Council on Accreditation.
About the
Presenter:
Mr. Galvin is a native of Central NY State. He earned his
Bachelor of Arts and Master of Educational and Counseling Psychology degrees
from the University of Missouri-Columbus, specializing in group dynamics,
family systems and adolescent issues. Mr. Galvin has worked as a direct service
staff, supervisor, clinician, manager and administrator in both residential and
community-based settings. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of
Catholic Charities-Atlanta and serves as a Peer Reviewer for the Council on
Accreditation. In addition to Treatment Planning, Mr. Galvin has developed
trainings on topics such as: Professional Documentation, Worker Safety and
De-escalation Techniques, Continuous Quality Improvement and Understand the
Accreditation Process.
