October 18,
2011 - Susan Dreyfus Will Head the
Alliance for Children and Families as CEO The Alliance for Children and Families is pleased to announce that Susan N. Dreyfus will become the next president and CEO of the Alliance, effective Jan. 2, 2012. Currently, Dreyfus is secretary of the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. Many of you will remember her from when she was senior vice president and COO of the Alliance from 2003-2007. We are very pleased to have Dreyfus rejoin the Alliance. She possesses an exceptional, broad-based background; a wealth of experience; and a high level of familiarity with the Alliance. Yet, her knowledge of the issues and opportunities faced by Alliance members and the entire nonprofit human services sector are what truly set Dreyfus apart. Dreyfus takes over for the late Peter Goldberg. "I am looking forward to fully bringing the synergy of Peter's vision to life. As we all know, he had a powerful vision of what was possible for the Alliance," she said. "There is a leverage and synergy we can bring to life for the Alliance, its members, and this sector to have greater social impact." In addition to her role with the Alliance, Dreyfus will be president and CEO of Families International, CEO of Ways to Work and United Neighborhood Centers of America, and a member of the FEI Behavioral Health Board of Directors. More information about this announcement and Dreyfus' background will be added to the Alliance website later today.
